After a check-up at the doctor and reading this article, I realized that this would not only be a good goal for my personal health but also for planet health. I'm not ready to take the plunge into complete vegetarianism (not sure if I ever will be), but want to be more conscious of the choices I'm making. After discussing it with my husband, we decided that the goal of 80% vegetarian, 20% omnivore seemed to make sense. This also means that when we do choose to eat meat, we can make the choice to eat meat that's organic, higher quality and hopefully raised in a more humane manner.
I'm a homeschooling mama to two boys, "B" or Boog (11 yo) and "C" or Roni (9 yo), and two girls, "A" or Pixie (7 yo) and Baby V (2 yo) I love knitting, sewing, baking, reading good books and natural living. I'm continually striving for more grace, gentleness and simplicity in my life.
